EP 9: The Glass Is Refillable
Hi, Hi, Hi, Hello,
In today’s episode, I’m reflecting on a little meme that hit me in a big way:
“People who wonder if the glass is half full or half empty are missing the point... the glass is refillable.”
Whew. That one stopped me in my tracks because I’ve lived all three mindsets—half empty, half full, and now, refillable. And let me tell you, there’s a world of difference between being optimistic and actually feeling empowered.
I talk about how the “glass is half full” mentality, while well-meaning, didn’t always serve me. It taught me to push things aside, to bury the hard stuff under positivity, and I wasn’t truly dealing with life’s challenges. Then came the “half empty” days, where I was stuck in survival mode, convinced things would never get better.
But now? I live knowing the glass is refillable. That life will always have ups and downs, and that’s okay. Because I can pause, refill, reset. And you can too.
In this episode, I share:
How both optimism and pessimism failed to prepare me for life’s real ups and downs
Why burying our struggles under forced positivity doesn’t help us heal
What it actually looks like to live with hope and grounded realism
How to shift from “accepting what is” to “creating what can be”
A simple mindset that can bring more peace, calm, and empowerment into your daily life
This isn’t about pretending everything’s fine or staying stuck in pain. It’s about meeting yourself where you are, and remembering that your story is never set in stone. You can refill your cup. You can create change. You can begin again.
So the next time life feels heavy or your hope runs low, I hope you’ll pause and remind yourself: the glass is refillable. 💧
