Hi, Hi, Hi, Hello,
Today was one of those days.
You know the kind, when everything in you just says, “Nope.” My body, my brain, my spirit... all of it was just done. Tired on every level. My eyes were watery, my vision was blurry, and the brain fog? Man, it was as thick as peanut butter. I had big plans for today, too. So many things I wanted to check off my list, especially with the summit I’m speaking at tomorrow.
The Nourished Inside Out Summit May 24th and 25th, 2025. All about helping you grow and heal and nourish yourself. There are still a few spots left so grab yours now and get ready for an inspiring, transformational weekend.

But nope. My body had other plans. After sleeping a solid nine hours last night (which is totally unlike me), I woke up, tried to rally, and then, surprise! I found myself crawling back into bed for a nap a few hours later.
I fought it at first. That little inner voice was like, “C’mon, you’ve got stuff to do. You’ve got a speech to polish. You’ve got goals, girl!” But my body? She was louder. She was like, “Sit down. Breathe. Stop pushing. Please.”
And you know what? I listened.
I let go of the guilt. I let the day be what it was. And now, just before I head back to bed, I felt the nudge to write this. Not because I got a second wind, but because I think someone out there needs to hear this, too:
It’s okay to rest. It’s okay to do nothing. It’s okay to let a day slip by without ticking all the boxes.
Actually, scratch that: it’s not just okay, It’s necessary.
Because this path we’re on, of healing, growth, and showing up as our most honest, authentic selves, it’s not about how productive we are. It’s about how well we’re listening. To our bodies. Our spirits. Our hearts.
Some days you’ll be on fire, flowing through your tasks, feeling inspired and unstoppable. And other days? You’ll feel like a melted marshmallow with a headache. That’s life. That’s the rhythm. And both days are part of the process.
Tomorrow, I’ll show up for that summit with fresh energy. I know it. But today? Today was about giving myself permission to pause. And that’s a win in its own way.
So if you’re reading this and feeling a little (or a lot) like I felt today; tired, foggy, just over it, consider this your gentle permission slip. Rest is not weakness. Listening to your body is not lazy. You’re allowed to step back. To do less. To simply be.
Your worth isn’t tied to how much you produce.
Your value isn’t measured by how many things you crossed off.
And your healing? It often happens in the quiet moments, not the busy ones.
Rest well. We’ll rise again tomorrow.
Remember, You are worthy and you are loved!
Cheryl
This landed so gently and so true. I'm resting too this week after a tooth implant, and your words felt like a kind reminder that rest is not weakness. It's wisdom. Thank you for sharing this softness with such clarity.
