Twice a month we have these really great Community Chats on Zoom that I always come away from them with some little golden nugget to think about it. Today was “I Start Fresh” and I thought will I have anything to really say, it’s such a simple topic. But is it really? Starting fresh doesn’t always mean starting completely over, throwing everything away or destroying something that is fixable. It’s more about looking inward and realizing what is not working can be changed. We often stay stuck or locked in turmoil by our own thinking.
Each day is a new chance to begin again with the choices we make. Am I going to live in the past or put it to rest and focus in the moment? Our past is a part of us, something to learn from or remember joyous memories. Where we are now is the result of our past whether it was good or bad or a mix of the two. I have moments in my past that I would not wish on anyone, moments I could be very bitter and angry about, but I don’t live there. I made my peace with it and choose to live in a joyous state. Believe me I have days that are rough and may take that joy away for a moment, but it doesn’t last long, I choose to start fresh.
Sometimes it is necessary to start with a clean slate, leave a relationship that is not healthy, or quit that job that is taking you nowhere. Starting fresh isn’t always about starting over though. It’s important to look at your personal situation with new eyes to find the solution that will create happiness within. Many times, we give up before the magic happens. Our inner dialogue is often our demise, telling us all the negative things that may or may not happen. We believe that negative talk and retreat without giving ourselves a chance to really live. Starting fresh can happen in any given moment, it is about acknowledging a change needs to occur than taking action to make it happen.
We are here in this moment creating our own version of life. How you choose to live it is up to you. Life can be filled with amazing adventures or if you want to live a stagnant stale life filled with misery that is on you. I choose to start fresh!
So excited you are sharing your thoughts. These zoom calls, which are part of our paid membership community, always leave me inspired. The way we dig deeper no matter how simple the Affirmation is, is one of my favorite things I love about the calls.
